Lunch on 2nd day of Chinese New year, we went to HaoQinXiang Restaurant. I think the meal will taste good when see the restaurant is crowded.

First dish: Meatballs. Outer is glutinous rice, inner is meat (not sure if it is pork ) and peanut. Not really like the taste.

2nd Dish:  Poh pia. Outer layer is crispy fried, the inner part not really taste anything. Maybe because of the cold weather the food is not warm.  Not really used to it, so stop after one bite.

The third dish: wine steamed prawn. All the while, i like seafood very much.   I can smell the alcohol when i eat the prawn. I like it.

Forth Dish: Pork.  The lean meat is great.

Fifth Dish: Fish ball soup. This is the first time i have so heavy smelly fish ball soup. So, I only drink one bowl of soup.

Sixth Dish: sweet and sour fish. It is not warm, so no one taste it.

Seventh Dish: Beehoon soup. Well, i have enough of rice, so, i don't try it out.

Eighth Dish: egg tofu. Kids love it because it is not that salty.

In overall, the meal not bad. I just not used to flavor.

Food Massage

After Gulangyu, the tour guide took us to the next shopping attractions. I have forgotten the name, but anyway, is a shop selling Qigong and Tibetan culture.

Well, i was indeed impressed by the big Tibetan mural when entering the hall.

We then, were lead to a small room. While listening to the assistance's explanation of Tibetan Culture, we enjoying the hot medical foot massage.

Then, she started promoting qigong and then, we saw few qigong masters came in and each  couple were assigned with one qigong master. There is no where i can escape, so, i let the Qigong master to read my palm.  He said, my neck nerve is hurt because i keep sitting in the office (in fact, the night before I just twisted my neck).  Then, he started his electrotherapy. Walaoleh, it is so painful until my tears just burst out like that.  Not very long, he stopped. Then, he told me that I need to buy drug @ RM 6,000 and asked me whether to pay cash or credit card.  Am i crazy?  Just twisted neck and need so expensive medicine?  Sure, i escape lar.

The assistant start consoling us when we have no intention to buy the drug. She told us that those massage master do not gain commission if we don't buy the drug.  Then, because of my hubby's kindness, he bought one massage oil @ RM70.  Since he claimed that it is for my mil, so i don't complain much.  But I have been returned from trip for 2 months, and yet I didn't hear anything from my mil about the goodness of the massage oil.  :P

The next morning, after having our breakfast at hotel, we went to Gulangyu by Ferry.

While waiting for my parents out from toilet, the tour guide told us that the main purpose of this trip is to see the consulate that built by
Britain, the United States, France, Japan, Germany, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and other countries after Opium War at 1842.

Unfortunately, i am not that interested to see the building but there are lots of good and talented performers who sing very well along the road.

Besides, there are more fun to take photos to the aerial roots that looks like doors and dinosaurs, special orange squeezer, fake coral, and funny sign board outside the cafe.

We had our 1st Dinner in China at Ding Xiang City Restaurant.

We started wearing our warm clothes before we leaved our van.  It was too cold outside.  The restaurant is quite grand.  But the service of the waitress are not so good because they have no smile on their face.  Maybe  it was because they have to work in the 1st day of Chinese New Year.

Altogether we had 8 dishes that night but we really cannot finished it.  We rush eating because we hope that we can go to bed early.  :)

I like their white rice very much.

Nan Pu To Temple

We booked our 5 days 4 night tour from Kuching Belair.  It costs RM780 per Adult and RM680 per child.  This excluding the RM150tips/day to the driver and guide.  We stayed at 3 star hotel every night with twin sharing room.  This tour only consists of us (7 adults and 3 children) because our final destination is different with others.

The tour guide pick us up at Xiamen Airport and our 1st pitch stop is Egret Park.

Although the cold wind is blowing but we still feel warm when stepping out from the small van.  I think the temperature is about 17-18 degrees.  We decided to take off our warm clothes but this make us become alien to others.  I am sure 100% of the people there turned their head and looked at us when we passed by.  I think they can't imagine why we can bear with the cold temperature.  But we really almost melt~~~

Frankly speaking, i am not fond of this park.  But the kid enjoyed very much.

First time I see this huge lantern.  I am sure it will be very beautiful when it light up.  Unfortunately, we have no chance to enjoy.

Xiamen Airport

We went to Xiamen China during Chinese New Year this year.

On the 1st day of CNY, we started our journey at 4am.   After checking in, we waited happily in the airport for the flight to KL.

After a long hour flight, we finally touched down to Xiamen Airport at around 1pm.  Probably due to CNY, there are lots of visitors.

In overall, Xiamen's airport is quite clean.
